General Rules

Server set up
  1. All matches are played on the home clan servers, unless otherwise agreed  (see During Matches : 1).
  2. All servers should be running the league configs provided by Clans United, and be running DMW scanner.

Players
  1. All players must use DMW (unless otherwise agreed) and be registered in the DMW section on the forum, in their clan list. Any clan that uses a player not on their list (unless agreed by both clans) or plays with an incorrect ID will lose three points and match score.
  2. Unchecked players must be agreed to at the start of the match. Screenshot, including player name preferably, must be taken by the requesting team, and may be used as proof in a dispute. 
  3. Six is preferred start number of players per team. However teams may start with as few a four, but the opposing team does not have to drop players to match. If both teams have more on the night they can be added.
  4. All players must use teamspeak. This is so when a player crashes out, he can be told when the round is over and it's safe for him/her to come back in (if required - see During Matches : 12).
  5. Players caught cheating will be expelled from the Clans United.

Match set up
  1. It's down to the home clan to host and sort their matches. Home clan picks both maps, this is to give the home team the advantage.  Home clan must make sure time and dates are ok with away clan through forum, e-mail or msn.
  2. BA Skin pack and forced models must be agreed by both clans. If one clan doesn't want either of them, then it will not be used.
  3. One sniper per match with six players, two snipers with eight players or more. No rockets or shotguns.
  4. Standard maps or custom maps (see rule 5, below) must be played unless both clans agree to a different custom one. We all hate Snowy Park so again that map is not allowed unless both clans want it.
  5. Custom maps for freezetag objective and objective are Renan, St. Lo, lol_v2_13, VSUK Abbey-beta, and Howitzer. For FT and TDM there is BA Stalingrad. These can be selected by the home side  as well as stock maps, and can be found in downloads section.
  6. Clans must agree before the match whether players that have crashed out can rejoin the game immediately. Rejoining players must come back into match as soon as possible, not stay in spectator. If one clan doesn't agree, rounds must be held.
  7. Winner of bash chooses first map and side, loser chooses side for second map.
  8. In the event of a cancellation with 24hrs of a match, the 'ready' team will get the default win, unless they wish to agree to a postponement. Matches once set may be postponed once only per clan.

During matches
  1. Should a problem arise during match, home clan can ask to use the away team's server providing DMW logs are uploaded after the match, or postpone.
  2. In the event of a no-show after 30 mins (or 20 mins with no contact), a clan may claim a 10-0 default win. However we would prefer clans to postpone/rearrange where possible (max. twice, see Match Set-up : 8).
  3. Boosting (stacking) is not allowed, defined as standing on another player for any reason in order to gain an advantage. Screenshot needed same as rule 4, below.
  4. Normal rules apply to going on roofs and other places on maps that we all know are out of bounds, we have all played the game long enough to know this one :) .  If a clan sees another clan's player somewhere he should not be, please screenshot him and send it to your admin. If it is a rock solid case, your clan will be awarded the win by a default 20-0 score. Nothing can be done without a screenshot.
  5. Matches must be played to the end. This league is done on a rounds difference system, so if two clans have the same points, it will then go down to round difference i.e. if a clan wins 20-10 they will have a +10 round difference.
  6. We would like the home team or the away to take a screenshot of scores at the end of a round. This is to save any agro that might go on after about the scores. Please also confirm the scores with each other at end of each round.
  7. We would like clans to start battles with two restarts, this will help some people that crash when three restarts are done.
  8. Once a match has begun, it is then deemed that both sides have agreed to play the match with those settings. Any complaints or conflicts regarding server settings from this point, will then not be vaild and therefore ignored.
  9. Admins will be available for clans that feel they need them.
  10. Match admins are the only players allowed to use 'necessary chat' in matches, unless agreed otherwise. Cheat calling or any form of abuse in matches will result in the player involved will being banned for twelve weeks. A second incident involving the same player will mean he/she is removed from CU. We dont care who or why. If abuse does take place take a screenshot and send to your admin. Wait until after the match, then your league admin will make your complaint if necessary.
  11. If you have a problem with another clans play or player then go to a Clans United admin. They will talk to those involved and resolve the situation as best they can. Rumour spreading and bitchiness won't be tolerated and will mean the same penalty as that given for abuse in matches (see rule 10, above).
  12. Where a match is held for a crashed player to join: the game will hold at the end of the current round for that player to join back in. A player cannot join in before the round has ended.
  13. Spawn killing is ok until we find a good program to stop it. If we said no to spawn killing we will have no end of agro. Camping in opposition's spawn in freezetag objective is not allowed.
   
After matches
  1. Report scores within 48hrs of match being played. Post scores in forum (same place as your match is posted).
  2. Upload DMW logs using the button on the home page, as soon as possible. A home team who cannot provide scanner logs in a reasonable amount of time will receive a default score of 0.

A. Freeze-Tag Specific Rules

  1. Standard 5 minute rounds, clans can agree on different setting.
  2. Standard first to 5 points till change sides/map, clans can agree on different setting.
  3. By default lasers off, clans can agree on different setting.
  4. By default friendly fire is set to off, clans can agree on different setting.
  5. Both teams receive a point for a drawn round.
  6. 1v1 bash to start

B. Freeze-Tag/Objective Specific Rules

  1. Standard 5 minute rounds, clans can agree on different setting.
  2. Standard best of 7 points till change sides/map, clans can agree on different setting.
  3. By default lasers off, clans can agree on different setting.
  4. By default friendly fire is set to off, clans can agree on different setting.
  5. 1v1 bash to start
  6. In the FT/Obj Custom map league only, clans can choose to play Letzte Tage, Schplatzburg and Team Zero in addition to the custom maps listed in Match Setup : 5.

C. Objective Specific Rules

  1. Standard 5 minute rounds, clans can agree on different setting.
  2. Standard best of 7 points till change sides/map, clans can agree on different setting.
  3. Friendly fire is set to on by default, clans can agree on different setting.
  4. Both teams receive a point for a drawn round.
  5. Team bash to start match, clans can agree on different setting.

D. Capture The Flag Specific Rules

  1. Standard 15 minute rounds, clans can agree on different setting.
  2. Use the following setting in your CTF config file to match the following rules:
    set g_ctf_settings "pointlimit: 0 countdown: 15"
  3. When the flags are not spawned at the same place(s) after the swap, then a extra restart is required.
  4. The amount of FLAGS count. Not the amount of rounds won. Make a screenshot of the amount of flags in the top right corner at the end of the round, so there cannot be any arguing around it.
  5. When the Flag count is even, for example 1-1 and after the 7 minutes sudden death one team blows up for having less players, the other team gets one point. If that ends up as a draw both teams get 1 point making it 2-2 in this example.
  6. Players CAN rejoin the match immediately after they dropped, but must rejoin their team as quick as possible.
  7. By default friendly fire is set to off, clans can agree a different setting.
  8. Both teams receive a point for a drawn round.
  9. 1v1 bash to start

E. Beach Football Specific Rules

  1. The default round limit is set to 5 minutes, clans can agree to play 10 min rounds.
  2. When the ball gets stuck, all players around the ball need to step back a bit to let it come loose.
  3. Beach Football matches must be played on the Clans United Server.
  4. The amount of GOALS count. Not the amount of rounds won. Make a screenshot of the amount of goals in the top left corner at the end of the round, so there cannot be any arguing around it.
  5. Players CAN rejoin the match immediately after they dropped.
  6. Players can be substituted at any time, any number of times, as long as there is never more than the pre-agreed number of players on the pitch at any one time.
  7. Any amount of players allowed - depending on player availability - 2 v 2  to 5 v 5.
  8. Spectators welcome to watch matches.
 

F. Team Death Match Specific Rules

  1. The round limit is set to 15 minutes.
  2. The amount of KILLS count.
  3. By default friendly fire set to off, clans can agree a different setting.
  4. Players CAN rejoin the match immediately after they dropped.
  5. Team bash to start match, clans can agree on different setting.
 

G. Round Based Specific Rules

  1. Standard 5 minute rounds, clans can agree on different setting.
  2. Standard best of 7 points till change sides/map, clans can agree on different setting.
  3. Friendly fire is set to off by default, clans can agree on different setting.
  4. Both teams receive a point for a drawn round.
  5. Team bash to start match, clans can agree on different setting.
