Call of Duty 5 Rules Server set up
- All matches must be played on Clans United servers.
- All Clans United servers will have default set up of the Clans United PAM mod and be streaming to PBBans and PsB.
- The PAM mod (using pam_mode cu) must be applied to the server before playing the match. This is to ensure game settings are applied to the server and kept uniform in all matches.
- In the event that Clans United servers are not available only, matches may be played on clan's own server (streaming to PBBans), and the log uploaded immediately after the match. Clans must use the PAM mod version listed in the downloads section of the CU website.
Players
- All players must have submitted a Punkbuster GUID before playing in Clans United, which must have been checked by a Clans United admin. Players are only eligible to play when the GUID appears on the locked clan squad list.
- Any clan that uses a player not on their list (unless agreed by both clans) or plays with an incorrect GUID will lose three points and match score.
- Six is preferred start number of players per team although both teams may start with five if needed. If both teams have more on the night they can be added.
- All players should use voice comms (eg Ventrilo or Teamspeak). This is so when a player crashes out, he/she can indicate readiness to rejoin (if required - see During Matches :8).
- Players are required to record the match using '/record' command in console, and retain it for 48 hours in case of dispute. File must be uploaded if required, and not be deleted if an investigation is in progress.
- Players caught cheating or after investigation found to have previously banned IDs will be expelled from Clans United. All players should read the Anti-Cheat Policy, adherence to which is a condition of playing in Clans United.
Match set up
- It's down to the home clan to sort their matches. Home clan picks both maps, which need not be disclosed before the match. This is to give the home team the advantage. Server details will be sent to WAs prior to the match. Home clan must make sure time and dates are ok with away clan through forum, e-mail or msn.
- Clans should agree before the match whether players that have crashed out can rejoin the game during play, or wait for a break.
- In the event of a cancellation with 24hrs of a match, the 'ready' team will get the default win, unless they wish to agree to a postponement. Matches once set may be postponed once only per clan.
During matches
- Should a technical problem arise during match, clan may ask an Admin (if available) to switch to another server. Otherwise, match can be postponed, or switched to a clan server providing rules in Server Set up 3 and 4 are observed.
- In the event of a no-show after 30 mins (or 20 mins with no contact), a clan may claim a default win. However we would prefer clans to postpone/rearrange where possible (max. twice, see Match Set-up : 3).
- In league matches home clan picks map and sides to start. In open or cup matches a 1v1 knife off should take place with the other players in spectator, loser picks side to start for second map. This can be changed if both clans agree to full knife off.
- Matches must be played to the end. This league is done on a rounds difference system, so if two clans have the same points, it will then go down to round difference i.e. if a clan wins 20-10 they will have a +10 round difference.
- We would like the home team or the away to take a screenshot of scores at the end of a round. This is to save any agro that might go on after about the scores. Please also confirm the scores with each other at end of each round.
- Once a match has begun, it is then deemed that both sides have agreed to play the match with those settings. Any complaints or conflicts regarding server settings from this point, will then not be vaild and therefore ignored.
- Admins will be available for clans that feel they need them.
- Where a crashed player is ready to rejoin, that player's team should call a 'time out' (default key 'B'). Players can then 'ready up' and the match resume. A time out should only be called if the player or a replacement is ready to come in.
- Weapon pickups are not allowed.
- Cheat calling or any form of abuse in matches will result in the player involved will being banned for twelve weeks. A second incident involving the same player will mean he/she is removed from CU. We don't care who or why. If abuse does take place take a screenshot and send to your admin or report to admin for match recorder viewing. Wait until after the match, then your league admin will make your complaint if necessary.
- If you have a problem with another clan's play or player then go to a Clans United admin. They will talk to those involved and resolve the situation as best they can. Rumour spreading and bitchiness won't be tolerated and will mean the same penalty as that given for abuse in matches (see rule 10, above).
